The city has moderate temperature ranges even during the peak seasons of winters and summers. The coldest months of the city starts from November and remains until the middle of February. The temperature variations are between 0 and -5 degrees. Relatively nights are much cooler. Venice receives most of the rainfall during this season. The peak seasons for summers are from June to August and the temperature ranges from 24 to 30 degrees. Most of the transportation means inside Venice use to be boats but now these boats are replaced by water boats which are now the most common means of transportation for the people of Venice. These methods are inducive training and conducive training. Inducive training refers to positive praise of desired behavior, and the only negative reinforcement is withholding that praise. Conducive is a more aggressive approach, where force and/or negative verbal abuse are used when the dog has done something wrong. At the American School of Dog Training, a mixture of both inducive and conducive training is used. The fact is that inducive training can be quite effective. The only drawback is that it is a slow process, and something that only the most patient individuals can follow through with. However, over emphasis on punishment and conducive training gives you the effect of having the dog obey you, but only with the attitude of “I only do this because otherwise I will be punished”. Most people do not want their dog to have this type of attitude. The American School of Dog Training has followed the latest advancements in how dogs process thoughts, and use that to train the dogs that come to them. What they have found is that too much negativity when training a dog is counterproductive to getting results. However, using the least amount of negative reinforcement seems to be necessary for training the dog effectively. Of course, the amount of punishment administered varies greatly from dog to dog. In other words, this school differs from other training schools who take a more cookie-cutter approach to training, and do not engage each dog on an individual and personal level. By using a personal approach of mostly positive conditioning with a little bit of negative conditioning, the school has found an effective method of training. In their normal training program, they work to establish 13 to 21 different obedient commands for the dog to follow, and also work to correct behavioral problems, as they are observed. Additionally, they offer specialized training for protection training. A guard dog is trained to protect an area, whereas a personal protection dog is trained to protect the family. Personal protection training is the type of training used at their facilities.
