Toy Poodle Training – Simple Tips
Jan 19th 2012, 21:36

You have known about the training tips for standard poodle and the gear required for the field training, either that is for hunting or retrieving. And the same principle is applied to the toy poodle training too. The activities are also same as that of the standard poodle. Still you have to make a list of the basic training tips for your toy poodle. And here are some given. 1. You can make each of the training session positive and interesting at the beginning and at the end with something that your dog loves and good at. Like retrieving a tennis ball, a short swim after a workout or run over an “A frame”, etc. 2. Make their training session short and positive. Never let your puppy to play with squeaky chew toy and to chew on bumpers. This will create mouth problems to your toy poodle when they grow older. 3. When introducing your dog to birds note for the first time, they will either rip the bird or chew it. If this happens more than one time, don’t give him any bird unless he had finished the last given. Remember, it will be easier to get rid of the bad behavior at the initial stage than to lodge a bad behavior pattern. 4. The toy poodle training is incomplete without introducing them to the water. They must be introduced to the water when the water and weather isn’t too cold. You can take another dog that can swim to train your poodle to swim. Let them play chase game. When your dog sees how much fun is it then, they will swim often. They will learn this quickly. But if the dog isn’t going for the swimming even at 6 to 12 months then, you can start “force fetch”. It is a great success for those young dogs who love to retrieve into the water. Even the poodle that haven’t been for swimming for eleven years, have been trained to retrieve from the water with these methods. 5. You have to keep record for each training session. What you have worked on, how the dog have responded to your lessons, problems observed, solving the problems, ideas about the sessions, what you have learned, what you plan for next session and many more. Don’t use the new concept different from before during this toy poodle training. If the previous lesson haven’t been learned, then they will be confused and both of you can get frustrated.

How to Obtain Agricultural Loans
Jan 19th 2012, 21:58

If you are into agriculture and have farm land as well as livestock then there is a high probability that at some point in time you might need an agricultural loan. There are several different types of agricultural loans available including specific loans for farm land, live stock, and any other agriculture related requirement. But the question is how to obtain agricultural loans?

If you require agricultural loans then there are certain aspects to consider before you can obtain the loan. The different aspects include:

Business Plan: As an existing farmer or a new farmer applying for agricultural loans, the first step is to prepare a detailed business plan that will throw light on the cash flow forecasts for the near future. The projection of the cash flow in your business plan will help your lender to understand how much loan you require and how much you are capable of paying back. You can pick up a copy of Business Plans for Agricultural Producers from the Texas Cooperative Extension Service for $1.25 and read through it to understand how to make a well-projected and detailed business plan for the loans.

Compare terms: There are several financial institutions that offer agricultural loans and each institution has its own rates and minimum loan amount. Before you apply for agricultural loans it is always a good idea to compare the various aspects of the loan like lending terms, minimum amount, scheduled payment period, marginal payment options and much more. You can compare the above information offered by banks, financial institutions, and Farm Credit Associations over the internet.

State Agricultural Finance programs: Most US states offer several state agricultural finance programs while some of the states offer at least one loan program. State agricultural finance or loan programs include everything from farmer loans to short-term farm land loans, disaster recovery loans, livestock loans, agri-business loans, equipment loans, seasonal loans, and much more. One of the popular state agricultural finance programs is the Aggie Bond Beginning Farmer Loan Program. This program is currently available in 17 states and helps new farmers to obtain loans at reduced rates for livestock, buying land, etc. You can find details on agricultural loans and state agricultural finance programs at the National Council of State Agricultural Finance Programs.

Commercial lenders: You can check the various offerings by commercial lenders like banks and financial institutions as well. There are several commercial lenders who specialize in different types of agricultural loans. There are approximately 2,500 farm banks all across US that offer agricultural loans at good interest rates. You can also check out with banks because they offer more farm loans than any Farm Credit System in the US.

U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) or Federal Government: Several types of agricultural loans are offered by USDA or the Federal government. You can pay them a visit if you are unable to get commercial credit or if you are unable to get the loan amount that you require for a specific agricultural requirement. There are several loan and farm land finance programs offered by the USDA Farm Service Agency.

Back of the Neck Tattoos For Girls – Every Rose Has Its Thorn
Jan 20th 2012, 00:41

You might want to get a sexy tattoo on the back of your neck, girls, but there are things to consider when deciding on a tattoo in a highly visible and sensitive area like the back of your neck. Besides the pain of getting a tattoo so close to your spine and skull, back of the neck tattoos are either difficult or impossible to cover up depending on their location. Tattoos on the back of the neck aren’t as popular as tattoos somewhere else on the body like the belly button, lower back, or even shoulder, but the neck tattoo has its own dedicated fan base due to its originality. One of the sexiest areas to get a tattoo is on the back of the neck, since the nape carries a special place as one of the most seductive areas of the body that most people are unaware of. The majority of guys are attracted to the back of the neck and nape area in a way they can’t really explain and a tattoo on the lower area of the neck, behind the ear, or right under your hair line intensifies that. Neck tattoos in general are a type of tattoo that catches a lot of bad attention from others, though tattoos on the back of the neck of girls aren’t so unacceptable in the eyes of most. On the side of the neck, or somehow the front of the neck, are seen as a bit of a taboo and not a lot of people want to commit themselves to a tattoo like that for the rest of their lives. The choices of designs for the back of the neck are about as varied as anywhere else, as the majority of back of the neck tattoos for girls are just small versions of tattoos designed for another area of the body. However, butterflies, stars, dragonflies, and zodiac symbols are all very popular in the case of back of the neck tattoos. Zodiac symbols are even seen as a little classy when on the back of the neck, and they look beautiful. Keep in mind that any tattoo is permanent and will be on your body for the rest of your life. Back of the neck tattoos are especially hard to cover up because of their location and if you end up working in a formal setting then putting up your hair or cutting it short is nearly impossible to do. Most workplaces do now allow visible tattoos, no matter how well done or pretty they are. What’s more is if you get a tattoo near the back of your ears there is almost no way to cover it up. Take careful consideration before committing your body to a back of the neck tattoo. They may look great, but every rose has its thorn.

Sumerian Culture
Jan 20th 2012, 00:03

Sumerians were people who inhabited southern Mesopotamia from around 3500 BC to 1800 BC. They had formed twelve city states, the most famous being Ur and Sumer. A common language called Sumerian was followed throughout these cities. Though there are no modern day descendants of Sumerians, Sumerian culture lives on mainly due to their inventions. No other ancient culture has contributed so much to today’s world as the Sumerian culture. We know so much about the Sumerian culture due to tone of their inventions too – writing. The Sumerians formed the first human settlement bringing to an end the nomadic ways of ancient man. They were an agricultural culture and raised crops in three areas. Inside the cities they kept highly cultivated gardens, while the cultivation of crops and other food sources came from agricultural fields outside the city. The third region was away from water resources mainly for grazing of the domesticated animals, hunting and for collection of fuel. The salty and stagnant water from the canals were used for growing the highly nutritious date-palms. In order for agriculture, the Sumerians needed irrigation. This paved way to the development of canals and embankments to control flood waters from the Euphrates River. Large scale cooperation was needed to keep the irrigational canal building continuing, repairing them and finally to address concerns and allot water shares. This gave rise to monarchy, government and laws. The Sumerian culture continuously invented and reinvented to perfection. Sumerian villages were built on mounds with houses clustered together on narrow lanes. Some houses were two to three stories high and the Sumerians had learnt very early how to make bricks and dry them in the sun or a kiln. The cities were protected by a wall all around it and the poor people’s settlements were outside these walls with houses made of reeds plastered in clay. Like every other ancient society, the Sumerian culture was centered on gods. The cities were built around the shrine of a local god. Any city’s wealth was reflected in the elaborate structures of its temples. Ramps and staircases led to the temples which stood on raised platforms. Temples were not only religious shrines but the entire Sumerian culture and its people depended on them for daily life. The temple complex had quarters for the priest, officials, accountants, singers and musicians. It also served as a treasure house for the city and a storehouse for grains, tools and weapons. Workshops for professions which were the mainstream of Sumerian culture were in the temple complex as well. These included bakers, pottery makers, jewelers, leatherworkers and spinners and weavers. Sheep and goat meant for sacrifice to the temple gods were also kept within the complex. Sheep, goat, oxen, donkeys and dogs had been domesticated though horses and camels were still unknown. The Sumerian culture has been responsible for several inventions as they progressed as a race. The plow for agriculture, the wheel for trading carts, sail boats for moving bulky goods up the river and above all writing was invented to make easier the job of remembering details of trade..

Gustav Klimt – The Frontrunner of Vienna Art Nouveau
Jan 19th 2012, 23:54

Gustav Klimt was an Austrian painter of Symbolism and Art Nouveau movement, born on July 14, 1862 to Ernst Klimt, a gold engraver, and Anna Klimt, at Baumgarten, a small place near Vienna. He had two brothers and four sisters & was the second of the siblings. His childhood struggled with poverty and economic difficulties. Bagging a scholarship in 1876, Gustav Klimt completed his architectural painter training form the Vienna School of Arts and Crafts in 1883. His basic work reflected the elements of conservative training. In the year 1877, his brother, Ernst also joined the Vienna School. Both the brothers, along with a friend, Franz Matsch formed a great team called the “Company of Artists.” With the help of their teachers, the trio completed the murals for Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna by 1880. Gustav Klimt started his career by painting the ceilings and the other interiors of the tall buildings. Paintings, sketches, and murals formed the major portion of his works, themed mainly around female body. He adored and idolized Hans Makart, the famous history painter of his time. A series of “Allegories and Emblems” was Klimt’s first major success. Gustav Klimt, for his great dedication and contribution to the paintings in Burgtheatre, was awarded the Golden Order of Merit in the year 1888 from Franz Josef I, the then Emperor of Austria. Klimt became the most prominent member of the University of Vienna and the University of Munich. He met Emilie Floge in 1890 who became his companion for life. Later, in 1892, his practice was seriously affected due to the death of his father and brother and their families’ financial responsibility shifting to him. In 1894, Gustav started painting “Philosophy,” “Medicine,” and “Jurisprudence” for the Great Hall in the University of Vienna, his last public commission. Termed pornographic and heavily criticized, the three paintings were never used. Klimt with some others founded Wiener Secession (Vienna Secession or Vienna Art Nouveau) in 1897 and became its president. He stayed with Secession until 1908. The peak of Gustav’s career was checkered with a mix of critical reactions and rave reviews. The artist started the use of gold in paintings, such as “Pallas Athene (1898)” and “Judith I (1901).” The most famous works of Klimt in his ‘Golden Phase’ were the “Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I” in 1907, and “The Kiss” in 1907-1908. In 1904, his finest art, “Expectation” and “Fulfillment,” which he created with the help of other fellow artists, was used to adorn the house of the richest Industrialist in Belgium. Gustav Klimt painted many canvases of women wrapped in fur between 1907 and 1909. He was very selective in choosing the subject and the theme of the paintings. He mostly worked at sexually active and erotic pieces, which unleashed his sexual interest in women. In the year 1911, his painting, “Death and Life (1911)” was awarded the best painting at the World Exhibition in Rome. His mother, Anna, died in 1915 and 3 years later, on February 6, 1918, Gustav Klimt breathed his last at Vienna, Austria, due to pneumonia and stroke. He left many of his paintings unfinished. Some of his paintings have fetched record-breaking prices, for instance, “Landhaus am Attersee” was sold for $29.13 million, and “Adele Bloch-Bauer I (1907)” commanded a hefty $135 million.
