Living in Costa Rica – An Affordable Slice of Paradise for all Budgets
Jan 18th 2012, 10:01

People are migrating to Costa Rica in record numbers, and if you’re thinking of retiring, buying a second home, or starting a business – living in Costa Rica is much easier than you may think – and the benefits are huge – and affordable for everyone. Why Live in Costa Rica? There are many reasons people choose to live in Costa Rica – and they include stunning natural beauty, a slower paced lifestyle, low crime, great infrastructure – and you get a LOT for your money. Let’s look at some of the reasons why more people are moving to Costa Rica than ever before: Property If you’re moving to Costa Rica, the first thing to consider is the cost of property – and the good news is that it’s cheaper in comparison to the US – with beachfront properties costing up to 75% less! The cost of a three bedroom home starts at just $60,000. Property taxes are minimal, and there’s no capital gains tax when selling your home – and overseas buyers have the same rights as residents, so you’re legally protected. Hired help is also inexpensive – you can hire a full-time maid for as little as $150 to $200 a month. Also consider this: A $30,000 home purchased 15 years ago is now worth $800,000 today. Therefore, you can also make money when living in Costa Rica – from the steadily rising property prices – making it an ideal place to buy a second home. Cost When you live in Costa Rica you get more for your money – and this is a major attraction, with just about everything being cheaper than in the US. In addition, there’s a favorable exchange rate – and lack of inflation means your money goes further. The cost of medical care, food, general utilities and entertainment are substantially lower than in the US. You’ll pay up to 70% less for groceries – or you can dine out for about $12.00 a head. Utility bills are also substantially cheaper. By living in Costa Rica, you get access to world-class healthcare at up to 70% less than back home – and medical insurance is cheap. If you move to Costa Rica, you’ll find that you can have a comfortable lifestyle for around $2,000 a month. Lifestyle Many Americans who now live in Costa Rica, like the slower paced, friendlier lifestyle – where people have time for each other – but you don’t have to give up your home comforts. Living in Costa Rica means, you can still get a lot of U.S. culture – including excellent shopping, cable TV, and cheap communications. The infrastructure is simply excellent – and with regular flights to the US that take just 3 hours to most of the southern US cities – you need never feel homesick. One major attraction of living in Costa Rica though is the weather. Fed up with freezing winters and scorching summers? Then consider this: Temperatures of 80 degrees during the day, and 60 to 70 degrees at night, make it a comfortable climate all year round. Living in Costa Rica gives you a wide range of recreational activities, including: . Golf . Fishing . Surfing . Diving . White-water rafting Alternatively, you may just want to stroll through some of the most beautiful scenery on Earth – well, living in Costa Rica gives you all this and more. Safety Latin America is now very popular, but if you’re choosing a country in this area, then living in Costa Rica has advantages over its rivals. Neighboring countries such as Nicaragua, Belize, Honduras and Guatemala are cheaper – but the quality of life and infrastructure are not as good. Furthermore, safety is a major concern – as petty crime, violent crime, kidnappings, as well as drug wars, are a problem in these countries.. In conclusion, living in Costa Rica gives you a better and safer lifestyle – with something for everyone. Living in Costa Rica is an adventure that can enhance your lifestyle. You’ll only be bored if you want to be – and Costa Rica suits people with ALL budgets. If you’ve ever dreamed of living in paradise, then you should consider living in Costa Rica.

Educational Career Training in Animation
Jan 18th 2012, 11:14

Almost every industry from video games to advertising interlocks animation into their daily work. Students can follow this path and become animated by jumping into a training program. Educational career training in animation is dedicated to providing unique career training where students learn how to create the effects they see in movies and games. Becoming animated is really a process of following a few steps that lead to success. The few steps it takes to get from wanting a degree to working in the field may take time but dedication can make it happen. Training provides a comprehensive look at how to use the latest technology to create and design 2-D and 3-D images. Through this general overview students learn about special effects, drawing techniques, and more. Finding the right program makes up step one. This decision is important because the program students enter determines what they learn and what careers will be available to them. The options range from an associate’s degree to a master’s and students can take a general approach or pick a concentration. Concentrations can include training in game design, visual design, and film. When a program is decided on students can transition into the longest and hardest step. The second step may be the toughest to push through. This step is completing a program. Within a bachelor’s degree program schooling is typically broken down into specific learning in the first two years and the last two years. Traditional colleges require students to take two years of general education like English and science to earn their degree. Beginner’s courses are usually mixed in with general education. Animation fundamentals and drawing techniques are some courses that can be taken in the first two years. The last two years animation courses are taken. These can include 2-D and 3-D animation techniques, drawing procedures, modeling images, and more. Students walk away knowing how to use scale, form, color, texture, and pattern to create animated images. Computer software is focused on to prepare students for the workplace. Once schooling is completed students have the chance to find a career. Finding a career can often times be a long process, which is why it makes up step three in the becoming animated process. Students can find careers in many fields that include working in the film industry, advertising, game design, multimedia, special effects, and more. Students need to learn how to market their skills when creating a cover letter and resume. Doing this includes tailoring each item to specific jobs to highlight areas of proficiency that fit the job description. Widening the search to include more areas of work may need to be considered as well. The Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts a high level of growth over the next four years. This is due to the growth in technology and the use of computer software programs to include more visual components in many industries. These three steps are broad to allow students to maneuver through them. Students should take the time needed to consider what educational path is best for them before entering an accredited degree program. Various agencies like the National Association of Schools of Art and Design, Commission on Accreditation (http://nasad.arts-accredit.org/) accredits animation schools and colleges that provide career training that is of the best quality. Dog Training Tips – Do Not Take Medication to Calm an Aggressive Dog
Jan 18th 2012, 14:55

Dogs are said to be a man’s best friend. But there are many things that a dog’s owner has to take care of. Some people even take medication to calm an aggressive dog. Every breed of dog has its own specific set of requirements. Some of them would not survive in hot climate, while some others cannot tolerate freezing temperatures. The question is- how to understand the behavioral patterns, requirements, and physical characteristics of them? To understand this, we need to delve deep into the psyche of dogs, keep a watch on their attributes, and also see what thing(s) please/irritate them. Please read this dog training tips carefully. Dog owners who find it difficult to train their dogs must watch a training video. You do not need to take medication to calm an aggressive dog. Some breed of dogs are easy to train, there are some breeds that would not be willing to listen to the owner. A dog training video simplifies everything. Just as it is so easy to learn cooking by watching a trained cook demonstrate cooking through a video, a dog trainer through video can help dog owners understand the techniques to train a dog. There are numerous advantages of purchasing these training video. First, you don’t have to pay hundreds of dollars to a dog trainer. Second, you never have to go out of your house to learn dog training tips. Third, if you fail to understand certain part of the training course, you can always rewind and brush up the lesson. Making your dog obey you when you ask him to lift his paw or sit, is not a child’s play. Advanced training involves making your puppy perform a somersault, or stand on its hind legs. This training video would have an adept trainer explain the training lessons slowly, in clear language without much jargon. There should be live examples to show the training process. There are hundreds of dog training videos available on the Internet. Be selective while deciding upon which dog training tips and video to purchase. Remember, a good course will produce a good result. You do not need to take medication to calm an aggressive dog anymore, because with you can train and change them.

Some Tasty Beef Jerky Recipes
Jan 18th 2012, 15:57

Beef jerky was not originally considered as a snack food because they were a necessity. Folks used to cook recipes of beef jerky to help them survive the long travels in the wilderness. They also used beef jerky recipes if they had to find a way to keep meat edible through the winter. Since there was no refrigeration in those days, ships, armies, and travelers would rely on preserved meat. In this day and age, we use beef jerky recipes to prepare a delicious snacks. Folks who like to hunt usually cook up beef jerky recipes. After all, the best beef jerky is made from wild big game. Great beef jerky recipes use meat from deer, moose, elk, and other similar animal. However, most of us do not realize that we can make our own beef jerky recipe. Cooking beef jerky at home is not a widespread practice. I have to admit that I had been eating Slim Jim jerky for years before I even realized that I could make my own. It would have been nice if I had realized it sooner. For the past several months, I have been trying to perfect my beef jerky recipes. I have managed to impressed a lot of people who were not beef jerky fans. Before she tried my creations, my mother would not touch the stuff. In her opinion, beef jerky was disgusting, oily, and awful. I can’t really blame her because the majority of the store-bought beef jerky recipes are of poor quality. Most of their original flavor have been lost because they’ve been sitting in plastic bags for months, and have been stuffed so full of artificial preservatives. In contrast, homemade beef jerky recipes can preserve the flavor of the meat for a longer period. The flavor of the meat intensifies when you dry it and turn it into beef jerky. People who only like mild food may not appreciate beef jerky because they often have an intense flavor. Nonetheless, a lot of people also love beef jerky recipes. You should try some homemade beef jerky, even if you have not enjoyed beef jerky in the past. After all, you don’t have to keep eating it if you don’t like it. However, you will have found a delicious new treat if you do like it..

5 Reasons a Company Might Choose to License Art
Jan 18th 2012, 15:12

I license my art and teach artists how licensing works and if they are interested, how to go about it. “Licensing” your art basically means you are granting the right to someone (a manufacturer) to use your art on something (their product) in exchange for royalties based on sales. The beauty of this system is that you can license the same art to many different companies, as long as they are putting the art on different products. That allows you to earn income from several companies, over time, instead of getting one upfront amount for selling the art outright. Licensing is one of three basic ways companies get art to put on their products. There is no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ way – it all depends on the preference of the manufacturer. The three basic methods are: They have in-house designers who are paid a salary to design art for products. They buy art out-right. Many artists prefer to sell a piece of art upfront and let manufacturers do whatever they want with it. They usually get a physical, sometimes digital, piece of art and the manufacturer has to adapt it to their product. The artist cashes the check and starts a new piece of art. They license art. In my opinion, licensing is a way for artists and manufacturers to share the risk and reward of the product. If the product does well, the artist stands to make a nice amount of money in royalties, but if it doesn’t their income can be low. With licensing there is also a delay between getting the deal and getting the cash. Sometimes that delay can be as long as 12-18 months. (This is why you should ask for an advance on royalties – but the decision to pay them or not is up to the individual manufacturer.) Let’s look at the five reasons I think companies choose to license art: In-house designers cost money. The manufacturer has to pay the designer a salary, payroll taxes, benefits, vacation days, etc. No one person or small group of people can do all styles of art so they will be limited by the skill-sets of their designers. Buying art outright may be less expensive on the surface but there are hidden costs. The manufacturer has to have someone to manipulate the art, fit it to templates, adjust colors, etc. This is sometimes done by artists who license their art. There are no salary, benefits or vacation days to pay. Royalties are paid based on sales so the payments due will be based on the success of the product. If the product sells well, they pay you more. Not as well, they pay you less. Variety of Art Licensing allows a company to work with many different artists without having them on payroll. It is a cost-effective way to get a wide variety of styles and techniques. Name Recognition If an artist has name recognition in the marketplace, at the retail and/or consumer level, a manufacturer can use that to their advantage by offering products with a known following.
